Los Angeles Featured on Man vs. Food
If you’re one of the many people who enjoy DirecTV packages, then you probably get the Travel Channel, in which case, you might have seen a show called Man vs. Food. In the program, host Adam Richman travels the country in search of some of the most tasty and iconic foods around. In one of the episodes, our very own Los Angeles, CA was featured.
Among the more iconic foods, was the Goliath Manuel’s Special and machaca burritos found at El Tepeyac Caf in East L.A. Many of you reading this are probably familiar with this dish and the notoriety it has acquired over the years. This massive burrito was a couple pounds heavy, full of meat, rice, cheese, beans and just about anything else you could find in a burrito.
The show also took a trip to Little Tokyo to a place called Orochon Ramen where the “hot ramen challenge” was taken by Mr. Richman. Any person capable of finishing the Special No. 2 spicy soup within 30 minutes was given a place on the wall of fame. Richman rose to the challenge.
